Abstract
The paper examines the current state of cultural and creative industries in Montenegro, bearing in mind the importance of this dynamic sector, which includes a number of activities and occupies an increasing share in the world economy. It provides an overview of the definitions of cultural and creative industries, and then suggests guidelines regarding the direction of further development in the domestic context. The paper also emphasizes the need for greater intersectoral cooperation in the creation of a unique strategic framework, state branding, educational policies and their alignment with market needs, and other significant aspects, with an emphasis on the importance of qualitative and quantitative research in this area. A special attention is given to the issue of team networking of individuals and subjects from the creative sector, while maintaining a balance between the principles of competition and collegiality.
